Mother in a quiet, contemplative moment

Motherhood mental health

You are allowed to find this hard.

Motherhood can be one of the most profound transitions in a person's life. It can also be exhausting, isolating and difficult to navigate at any stage.

This is not the motherhood you imagined.

Perhaps you love your children deeply and still feel like you have lost yourself somewhere along the way. Perhaps you are exhausted in a way that sleep cannot fix. Perhaps you are holding everything together on the outside while quietly falling apart on the inside.

Motherhood can bring immense joy and it can also bring grief, anxiety, overwhelm, identity loss and a profound sense of disconnection. All of these experiences are valid. And all of them can be worked through.

You may be experiencing

You are not alone in feeling this way.

Persistent anxiety, worry or a sense of dread that does not go away
Emotional exhaustion that goes beyond tiredness
Feeling disconnected from yourself, your partner or your children
A loss of identity, not knowing who you are outside of being a mother
Overwhelm, irritability or a short fuse that surprises even you
Low mood, numbness or a quiet sadness you cannot explain
Intrusive thoughts or fears about your children's safety or your own adequacy
Feeling like you are not good enough, or that everyone else is coping better than you
Struggling with the transition into motherhood, or a subsequent pregnancy or birth
A sense that something needs to change, even if you cannot name exactly what
You do not have to keep pretending you are fine. There is support here.

How I can help

Therapy and coaching for mothers.

I work with mothers across all stages of motherhood from the perinatal period through to the years beyond. My approach combines psychotherapy and mindset coaching to help you understand what is happening beneath the surface, reconnect with yourself and begin to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

This is not about becoming a better mother. It is about becoming more yourself — more grounded, more aware and more at peace with who you are and the life you are living.
